Not all teachers are made equal and that is no less real with approved driving instructors. It's not as straightforward as searching 'Driving Lessons Liscannor' and picking the first driving school you stumble upon. Who can you believe in to offer you that enjoyable and engaging driving lesson experience?
Naturally you want to pick a driving school that has a great record. A place where pupils are consistently passing their driving test first time.

Just passed my test this morning all thanks to the help from ! I had taken the test twice over the last few years and failed and wasn't thrilled about trying it a 3rd time because of the previous results, but got recommended to by a friend so after only 3 hours in total of pre tests I passed, delighted! knows what he is talking about and guides you through the testing routes very calmly, professionally and puts you at ease with the overall test and what is expected of you. I can't recommend him enough as an instructor and I wouldn't have passed without him. Thanks a mill :)

Generally pupils are one of the following. You are either starting or need to complete your EDT driving lessons. Or you have completed your EDT and have a driving test to prepare for.
What's the difference?
What exactly is the EDT?
EDT Driving Lessons LiscannorYou may not know but many years ago Ireland had one of the worst road accident records in Europe. The Road Safety Authority had to do something so they designed a new training syllabus that all new drivers had to complete. The Essential Driver Training or EDT.
This EDT requires that all learners must complete a minimum of 12 hours of essential driver training by an RSA approved driving instructor.
In an attempt to lower crashes and fill the evident driving skills gap that many new motorists were lacking, the 12 lesson syllabus was created.
That's the 'whats' and 'whys' of the EDT.
The Test: Crucial preparation
Pretest Driving Lessons LiscannorThere is learning the vital driving skills and developing your knowledge of road signs and road safety. Then you must master the conditions of the driving test and understand what to expect. The test is your chance to show that you are safe enough to drive unaccompanied. As with any exam you have ever had to sit, 80% of passing the driving test is achieved long before the day of the test with proper preparation.
If you have to prepare for the driving test then your head is probably a wash with different emotions. We naturally fear what we don't understand and the unknown. The good news is you don't need to worry any more.
It is standard practice by many driving instructors to keep giving you lessons until they 'think' you are ready. Often they will send you to do the test not really knowing if you will pass or not. And they do this because they do not truly understand the driving test, how you will be graded or what areas of your driving will cause you to fail. Luckily this is not how we operate. All our instructors have been trained by ex-testers so they fully understand the driving tester and what they are looking for from you on test day.
We're not in the business of gambling on your success. Our pretest training fully simulates the 4 different stages of the driving test and fully prepares you for the way the tester will talk to you and how they mark the test sheet.
When we share this knowledge and understanding with our students it is like giving them all the answers to an exam before they even know the questions. Which is why so many of our student pass first time. Passing fast means you save money.
