A Driving School in Old Parish you can trust
We all remember the fun engaging teacher in school that made learning easy and fun. And then we had the opposite, those teachers that had no place in the classroom. Not all teachers are made equal and that is no less real with approved driving instructors. It is easy to Google 'Driving Lessons Old Parish' and find driving instructors near you but which can you trust to best teach you.

Another one passes the test. Well done niamh lalor
Passed first time! I just want to say a big thank you to my driving instructor and the RSA School of Motoring for helping me pass successfully on my first attempted... Was an amazing instructor who showed me how I should drive and spent a lot of time refining my techniques to the level required to pass. He also worked on making me a confident and calm driver which was a big advantage on the day of my test...I heard of the RSA School of Motoring through a work colleague who said they were extremely good and helped her pass successfully. I'm so glad she recommend them and I would definitely recommend them to anyone learning to drive. I can now say I feel confident enough to drive anywhere on my own :)

My driving instructor Colman was fantastic. He was friendly, very patient and gave great clear instruction. I felt well prepared when it came to the test (I passed two weeks back). I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is learning to drive. You won't find a better instructor!
We now have helped countless learners pass the driving test so before you carry on your search we urge you to consider RSA School of Motoring for your driver training in Old Parish. Let us explain to you why.
Generally pupils are one of the following. You need to complete or start your 12 EDT driving lessons. Or you have completed your EDT and have a driving test to prepare for.
So here is a little information on our approach.
What is the EDT?

You may not know but many years ago Ireland had one of the worst road accident records in Europe. The Road Safety Authority had to do something so they designed a new training syllabus that all new drivers had to complete. The Essential Driver Training or EDT.
This Essential Driver Training Syllabus requires that all learners must complete a minimum of 12 hours of essential driver training by an RSA approved driving instructor.
Learning to drive safely means understanding and exercising particular driving skills and these 12 EDT lessons have been designed to accomplish that.
That's the 'whats' and 'whys' of the EDT.
Getting ready for the Driving Test in Old Parish

First you must master the rules of the road, the road signs and skills involved to control a car safely. Then you must master the conditions of the driving test and understand what to expect. Being allowed to drive alone on Old Parish roads is a right you must earn and the driving test is your chance to do it. Like any exam you have ever had to sit, 80% of passing the driving test is achieved well before the day of the test with proper preparation.
If you haven't done any preparation for your driving test the your are in the dark and being in the dark can cause a lot of fears to rise up. They so often get the best of even the most seasoned driver. So it stands to reason that we have to shine a light in the dark, eliminate the unknowns and the anxiety. And that is precisely what our pretest driving lessons will do.
It is standard practice by many driving instructors to keep giving you lessons until they 'think' you are ready. They 'think' you are ready but they do not really 'know'. And they do this because they do not truly understand the driving test, how you will be graded or what areas of your driving will cause you to fail. Luckily this is not how we operate. All our instructors have been trained by ex-testers so they fully understand the driving tester and what they are looking for from you on test day.
By the end you’ll understand fully the four stages of the test and understand exactly what the driving tester is looking for from you, how they will speak to you on the day and why and when the tester will mark the sheet.
