Test centres in two counties
From Charleville, the Mallow centre is nearest, about 28.7 km by road or 25 minutes. Newcastle West and Castlemungret, both in County Limerick, are each about 35 minutes away, and Mitchelstown about 40. A centre further away may have an earlier date, so it helps to know all four before you apply.
Shortly before the test, the pretest gives you a one-hour lesson in the area around the centre you're booked into. Car hire for the test is included, so you're tested in the car you practised in. We arrange it for Mallow, Newcastle West, Castlemungret or Mitchelstown, depending on where your test is.
