Do I need the EDT before sitting my test in Tralee or Killarney?
Yes, if you hold a learner permit. You complete twelve EDT lessons with an Approved Driving Instructor before the test. Each one is signed off in your logbook, which is your record of how far you have got.
Should I learn in a manual or an automatic in Kerry?
Think about the car you will drive afterwards. A pass in a manual lets you drive both kinds; a pass in an automatic gives an automatic-only licence, code 78. Automatic times vary by town, so we confirm the car when you enquire.
