FAQ

Waterford lessons, a few good questions

Do you teach in Ferrybank, Ballybeg and Ballygunner?

Yes. They are city areas on our list, alongside Waterford city itself. Your instructor collects you at an agreed point in your area, and the pick-up is part of the price, so the hour is spent driving.

How do I start driving lessons in Waterford?

Pass the theory test, then get your learner permit from the NDLS. With the permit in hand, fill in the form on this page or ring 021 2355558. We then match you with an instructor for your part of the county.

Should I practise between my Waterford lessons?

Yes, with a qualified driver beside you. Ask your instructor what to work on after each lesson. The hours in between mean less of the next lesson goes on old ground, so each one you pay for goes further.

Can I take my test in Waterford in an automatic?

Yes, if you learned in one. Automatic lessons cover EDT and pretest alike, and we confirm the instructor and car when you enquire, as times differ from town to town. Your licence will then cover automatics only, code 78.
