Driving lessons Cappawhite
Cappawhite lessons, one hour at a time
Booking a driving school in Cappawhite should not mean arranging lifts. We collect you, teach each hour with an Approved Driving Instructor in a dual-controlled car, and drop you back afterwards.
Pick-up at the resource centre
Cappawhite Community Resource Centre is an easy place to be collected if home does not suit, and work is fine too. Either way, the pick-up is part of what you pay.
ADI-taught, dual-controlled
You learn with an Approved Driving Instructor in a car with a second brake on their side, from your first drive along Limerick Street onwards.
Unhurried and calm
Being nervous shapes how your lessons run rather than being brushed aside. Your instructor stays calm, and you choose the pace.
Ready for Tipperary town
We only suggest a test at Tipperary town when your driving is there. If it is not yet, we tell you plainly what to work on, without padding the course.
Manual or automatic, you pick
Both are taught, though the licence differs: pass in an automatic and code 78 keeps you to automatics, pass in a manual and you can drive both.
Your preferences matter
If a female instructor would help, ask when you enquire. Tell us anything else that matters, and we weigh it when choosing who teaches you in Cappawhite.

Manual driving lessons Cappawhite
The first manual lessons in Cappawhite stay near your pick-up, working on the clutch, the gears and moving off without stalling. Junctions and roundabouts follow when that is steady, and then the reversing manoeuvres. Limerick Street is part of the early drives, and later lessons head further out, so you build up speed and judgement on longer roads. In the last stretch, your instructor plans the hour in the area around the Tipperary town centre, about 20 minutes away.

Learn in an automatic
Automatic driving lessons Cappawhite
Automatic driving lessons in Cappawhite suit anyone who would rather not think about gears and a clutch. The car changes gear, and you concentrate on the road. You sit the same test, but your licence afterwards carries code 78, which allows automatic cars only, while a manual pass allows both. Let us know you want an automatic when you enquire, and we look for an instructor who can teach you in Cappawhite.

Getting ready for the test
Your Tipperary town test
It takes about 20 minutes to drive the 16.7 km from Cappawhite to the Tipperary town centre. Thurles is about 40 minutes away, Woodview in Limerick about 45 and Nenagh about 50, so they come into it only if Tipperary town has nothing suitable. Once you choose, your final lessons are planned around that centre.
The pretest is booked for shortly before the test: an hour in the area around your chosen centre, plus car hire for the test itself. With an automatic car, the price is €193.81. You test in the car you have been learning in, which is one less thing to think about on the day.

Learning in Cappawhite
Lessons on Cappawhite roads
You begin close to where you were picked up, so the car gets your full attention. Limerick Street follows soon after. After that the lessons range further from Cappawhite, adding a new road or skill each time, and your instructor explains what is coming before you meet it.
Being collected from the resource centre suits some learners, and home or work suits others. Choose when you book, and your instructor returns you to the same point at the end, or to another one you have agreed with us in advance.
Doon, 6.1 km away over the Limerick border, and Tipperary town, 12.0 km away, are on our list, measured in a straight line. So is Cappamore. Each of them has its own lessons and its own pick-up, agreed with the learner.

EDT and the test
