EDT lessons in Youghal
If you hold a learner permit, the law asks for 12 Essential Driver Training lessons with an Approved Driving Instructor before your test. We run them from Youghal with the same pick-up as any other lesson, and each is signed off in your logbook as you finish it.

Dungarvan is the closest centre to Youghal, about 25 minutes and 30 km by road, in County Waterford. Wilton is about 45 minutes away, with Mitchelstown and Clonmel at about 60 and 70. If one of those has an earlier date, it may be worth the longer drive, and we prepare you for whichever you choose.
The pretest gives you one more hour of driving in the area around your test centre, shortly before the test. Then you have the same car for the test itself. You sit it in the car you practised in. For Dungarvan, the manual pretest with car hire costs €183.63, and we book it once your date is set.
