Your nearest test centre is the Mallow centre, 3.9 km by road and about 5 minutes away. Further out are Mitchelstown at about 30 minutes, Wilton at about 40 and Newcastle West at about 55. Your instructor plans the final lessons with your chosen centre in mind, and the pretest goes there too.
Close to your date at the Mallow centre, add a pretest. Your instructor spends one hour with you in the area around the centre. Then the car you practised in is hired to you for the test itself, so nothing about it is new. The manual pretest with car hire is €183.63, and the tickets list the automatic price.
Learning on Mallow's roads
Each lesson starts at your agreed pick-up point and settles into a short warm-up. As your control improves, you will drive on Thomas Davis Street and Longfield's Bridge. Towards test standard, lessons spend more time on the roads around the Mallow centre, so the area feels familiar on the day.
No Mallow lesson starts with you making your own way somewhere. Name a point when you book: your home, your school, your workplace or Mallow station. If you need dropping somewhere else afterwards, agree it with your instructor at the start.

Can I sit my test somewhere other than Mallow?
You are free to. Mitchelstown is about 30 minutes away by road and may have an earlier date than the Mallow centre. Tell us which one you book, and the pretest hour is spent in the area around it.
